Marceline Chun
San Antonio, TX

Marceline Chun is a transgender girl living in Texas who always felt “different.” While she was raised as a boy, that never quite right, and in middle school, she fell into a deep depression. It was only when she came out as transgender that she was able to feel whole, and she has since transitioned to live every day as the girl she has long known herself to be. Marceline also understands it can be difficult to explain to someone who is not transgender or does not know a transgender person that who you see in the mirror might not match how you feel or who you see yourself as.

“It felt like a thousand pounds off my entire shoulders [after I realized my truth], and when I told my parents, it was like the weight of the whole world was gone from me,” Marceline said.
